Tracey Warbey

Hi, my name is Tracey and I am a photographer living in St Austell, Cornwall, with my husband and two little girls.

Getting to know your wedding photographer is an important part of planning your wedding, so this page is about getting to know me and why I love wedding photography.

Before I purchased my first DSLR in 2007, photography had always been a hobby of mine. As a child I was given a small Halina 35mm film camera and I used to take it everywhere with me, always at the ready to take a picture of something interesting.

Being surrounded by beautiful Cornish scenery, I felt inspired to expand my knowledge with an emphasis on capturing seascapes and landscapes and this is still one of my favourite pastimes.

I created Tracey Warbey Wedding Photography in 2014 when a work colleague asked me to photograph her wedding and I haven't looked back since.

I feel privileged to be able to call this my job; I love what I do and the fact that I get to meet so many fantastic people along the way.

I would describe my style of photography as beingΒ reportage/documentary, therefore very natural, relaxed and generally using natural light. My aim is to capture moments between people, giving memories that my couples and their guests can enjoy for years to come.

I take every wedding I shoot very personally and believe that it's important to build a connection with each couple that I meet. Building that trust enables me to capture what's 'real', which in turn I believe, gives better images.

I've got to be honest, I'm not one for having my photograph taken. I feel far more comfortable being on the other side of the camera, so I can understand when some couples say that they don't like having their photograph taken. Keeping this in mind, you will often find me shooting from the sidelines, as I like to ensure people are put at ease.

I have had my work featured in both the national and local press: Wed Mag, Want That Wedding, The English Wedding Blog, The Wedding Community Blog, Your Perfect Wedding Photographer and Pasties and Petticoats to name but a few.

What do I like to do when I'm not shooting a wedding? Well, I have to say that spending time with my family has to be number one but I'm also a lover of a TV box set, a good cup of tea and a piece of cake...

So that's enough about me; if you would like to tell me a little bit about you and your wedding day plans, please feel free to get in touch. I would love to hear from you.
