Proposal Ideas in time for Valentine’s Day
An expensive box of chocolates and a dozen red roses will always be well received on Valentine’s Day, but if you are considering making this year’s February 14th extra special, take a look at these proposal ideas for inspiration if you’re on the verge of popping one of life’s biggest questions:
Counting Down
Spread the love over the days leading up to Valentine’s Day by giving your loved one a box containing 7 individually wrapped and numbered presents. This idea doesn’t have to cost the earth but should be carefully thought out to show consideration and creativity. You could include a handwritten letter/poem or perhaps bake some heart shaped biscuits.
On the final day, pop the question when the last gift is being opened – the ring!

Memories
Do you have a great story about how the two of you got together? Returning to your favourite spot not only proves that you remember the exact moment you crossed paths, it’s a great way to make the relationship come full circle.

Simplicity
A simple, carefully planned and romantic proposal is sometimes all you need for a guaranteed yes! Set up an arrangement of candles at home, invite your other half over for dinner and spell out your proposal in rose petals.

The Hidden Gift
Present your loved one with their Valentine’s Day gift only for them to find that inside lies a concealed surprise… An engagement ring!

Picnic
This is one of my personal favourites as it is how my husband proposed to me! Take your partner to a special place, preferably somewhere of significance for the both of you. Pack a blanket, a picnic lunch, some champagne and pop the question. It worked for me! 🙂
