A Castle Wedding in Cornwall
Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Lauren and Tom’s beautiful castle wedding at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth.
Lauren, her mum and her three bridesmaids all had their hair and makeup done in the morning at Zebra Finch Hair, a stylish salon in the centre of town, before heading back to The Greenbank Hotel on Harbourside to get changed into their wedding attire.
Lauren looked stunning in a full length, embroidered v-neck dress with beaded detailing.
She wore silver strappy sandals and finished the look with a long veil.
Her bridesmaids all wore matching wine coloured, full length, halterneck chiffon dresses and matching silver strappy sandals.
Tom looked smart in a navy three piece suit, accompanied with a white shirt, a wine coloured tie and brown shoes.
The couple’s wedding flowers consisted of Amethyst eryngo, Amaranthus caudatus and Eucalyptus, to name but a few.
Lauren and Tom took their vows in the The Keep, which was lit by candlelight.
Traditional wooden benches were set on either side of the aisle, which was lined with gunpowder barrels, creating an enchanting entrance.
After the wedding ceremony Lauren, Tom and their guests enjoyed drinks and canapes on the Grassy Chemise, which was once an external gun platform.
Later on the guests sat for speeches and a three course dinner in the Royal Artillery Barracks, which was built in 1901 to house the Royal Garrison Artillery.
Here’s some of my favourite images from their day…
