Best of Wedding Photography 2018
Happy New Year! Another year gone by and I find myself compiling a ‘Best of’ post with thousands of images from various wedding venues in both Devon and Cornwall to review and some wonderful memories to relive.
This year has been my fourth full year as a wedding photographer in Cornwall, and I’m always thankful, not only to the couples who let me share in their wedding day with them, but to my family, who continue to support me in my chosen career.
I say this every year but it’s true, I love my job and feel very privileged to be able to do this for a living. Each year I am able to meet so many welcoming and lovely people, not to mention the fantastic locations and venues in both Cornwall and Devon that I am fortunate enough to visit and photograph at.
During 2018, I have had the pleasure of shooting at some amazing wedding venues; there was a beautiful woodland ceremony at the secluded Streamcombe Farm in Dulverton, I enjoyed the grandeur of a wedding at Pencarrow House and I photographed a ceremony in The Old Coastguard’s Lookout, with breathtaking views across Veryan Bay, to name but a few…
I have also been invited back to a couple of my favourite wedding venues in Cornwall, Trevenna Barns and The Green…
2018 was a year that saw some pretty turbulent weather; I was stuck in the snow on the way to a wedding at Talland Bay Hotel during the Beast from the East in March (yes I did make it to the wedding in case you are wondering), I photographed the scorched grass against the bluest of skies in July at a wedding in Penzance – 2018 was the joint hottest summer on record for the UK as a whole, and the hottest ever for England. Then there was the October wedding I had in St Austell, where we were battered during Storm Callum… No-one can say that being a wedding photographer is a boring job!
So without further ado, here’s 100 of my favourite images captured from this year. The laughs, the tears, the moments and plenty of flossing and dabbing 🙂
I hope you enjoy looking through them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
