Best of Wedding Photography 2019
Happy New Year!
Another year gone by and I find myself compiling a ‘Best of’ post with thousands of images from various wedding venues in both Devon and Cornwall to review and some fantastic memories to relive.
This year has been my fifth full year as a wedding photographer in Cornwall and I’m always thankful.
It’s such a privilege to share in my couple’s special day with them and their loved ones.
2019 has been a year of change; I upgraded camera systems in February from Canon to Sony, having been a Canon shooter since 2008.
I must say the change has been a good one, with my favourite features being the live view, the silent shooting and the eye-tracking auto focus.
My old aching bones are also enjoying the lighter weight!
Another highlight in 2019 was reaching the finals of the South West Wedding Awards under the Bespoke Wedding Photography category.
With the awards ceremony happening later this month, I am keeping everything crossed…
During 2019 I have had the pleasure of shooting at some amazing wedding venues.
There was an elegant coastal wedding which took place in the newly refurbished ceremony room of the Fowey Harbour Hotel, I enjoyed the grandeur of a wedding at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and I photographed a rustic outdoor ceremony at the beautifully secluded Kilminorth Cottages near Looe, to name just a few…
I was also invited back to a couple of my favourite wedding venues in Cornwall, Trevenna Barns and The Carlyon Bay Hotel.
So without further ado, here’s 100 of my absolute favourite wedding pictures captured from last year.
The laughs, the tears and all those little moments that make documentary wedding photography so great.
I hope you enjoy looking through them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
If you are still looking for a wedding photographer to photograph your wedding in Devon or Cornwall for this year or for 2021/22, please do get in touch.
