When Peggy met Woody…
Ever since we’ve been on lockdown, I’ve really missed shooting my weddings.
I had a pretty busy year ahead planned and was very excited to be shooting lots of lovely couples in many beautiful wedding venues across both Devon and Cornwall.
With the majority of those bookings now postponed until next year, I’ve been filling my time home schooling my two children, marketing and doing plenty of admin.
Wanting to keep the creative juices flowing, I wondered how I could recreate one of my favourite elements of a wedding day – the bride and groom couple time shoot. So I grabbed some wooden peg dolls and took them out into the wilderness that is my back garden…
When Peggy met Woody, she knew that he was the wooden peg doll of her dreams.
Within a few months, the pair had eloped to the secluded bluebell forest in the back garden for a private ceremony, where they recited personal vows to one another, accompanied by the gentle sound of bird song.
Completely and totally in love, they sealed their vows within this idyllic setting; their wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect.
Peggy wore a beautifully fitted, lace wedding dress and held a small posy of white flowers with blue detailing.
Woody looked dapper in a two piece grey suit, a white shirt and a royal blue tie.
Here’s a little preview from their special woodland elopement, as the newly-weds spent a few precious moments together in the spring sunshine, beneath a canopy of trees.
Congratulations Woody and Peggy! 🙂
