A Flamingo Farm Wedding in Cornwall
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Chris and Isobel’s wedding at Isobel’s parents disused dairy farm in Callington, Cornwall.
It was a beautifully sunny day which matched the wedding day styling perfectly, as it was filled with bright colour throughout.
Flamingos, biscuits and bright colours were the theme of the day, with the reception being held in a blue and white circus top style tent in one of the fields.
Sarah Chapman from Cerebration Ceremonies conducted the ceremony, which took place in one of the old cow sheds; it had been transformed into a pretty setting with hay bales for seating, strung fairy lights and brightly coloured hanging baskets.
Isobel wore a stunning netted tea length wedding dress with a lace beaded blouse over the top and nude vintage looking shoes.
She opted for a variety of brightly coloured flowers for her bouquet, consisting of dahlias, daisies and delphiniums, tied with brightly coloured ribbons. The flowers had all been grown especially for the wedding by her mother at her parent’s home.
Isobel’s five bridesmaids all wore lace knee length royal blue dresses with a hot pink ribbon tied around the waist. They all carried smaller versions of Isobel’s bouquet.
Chris looked dapper in a grey tweed three piece suit with a blue tie, black brogues and a pair of flamingo socks (naturally!)
This quirky preview shot was taken of them leaning against one of the wrapped hay bales in the field and represents their personalities perfectly – Fun and full of life!
Stay tuned for more of this fun farm wedding in the coming weeks…
Congratulations Isobel and Chris!
