A Cottage Flamingo Farm Wedding in Cornwall
Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Chris and Isobel’s wedding at Isobel’s parents disused dairy farm in Callington.
Flamingos, biscuits and bright colours were the theme of their day, with the ceremony taking place in one of the old cow sheds.
The couple had transformed the shed into a very pretty setting for their wedding with hay bales for seating, strung fairy lights and brightly coloured hanging baskets.
Sarah Chapman from Cerebration Ceremonies conducted the ceremony, which was personalised beautifully with rose placement and the lighting of candles.
Isobel wore a stunning netted tea length wedding dress with a lace beaded blouse over the top and nude vintage looking shoes.
She opted for a variety of brightly coloured flowers for her bouquet, consisting of dahlias, daisies and delphiniums, tied with brightly coloured ribbons.
The flowers had all been grown especially for the wedding by her mother at her parent’s home.
Isobel’s five bridesmaids all wore lace knee length royal blue dresses with a hot pink ribbon tied around the waist.
They all carried smaller versions of Isobel’s bouquet.
Chris looked dapper in a grey tweed three piece suit with a blue tie, black brogues and a pair of flamingo socks (naturally!).
He wore a bright orange marigold as a button hole.
Following the ceremony, Isobel and Chris enjoyed a confetti race across one of the fields before spending the remainder of the afternoon competing in games such as the sack race.
The couple’s reception was held in a circus style tent in one of the fields, and had been beautifully decorated with strips of brightly coloured tissue paper and other paper decorations.
Here’s a few of my favourite images from their day…
Congratulations Isobel and Chris!
