A Rustic Country Wedding at Knightor Winery, St Austell
Katie and Matt married on Saturday 1st August 2015 at Knightor Winery, which is located in Trethurgy, near St Austell.
The couple took their vows in a recently erected arbour, which is situated in the grounds of the boutique winery and has a lakeside position. The winery is just a stones throw away from the popular tourist attraction and wedding venue The Eden Project.
It had showered for the majority of the morning but the rain cleared just in time for their civil ceremony to take place outside as planned.
It was a beautiful wedding with a rustic, country feel which complimented the location chosen.
Hay bales were laid out to act as seating for the wedding guests and the arbour was decorated with milk churns and glass vases filled with roses and gypsophelia.
The colours chosen for their wedding day were pretty pastels of peach, cream, pink and lilac.
Katie’s wedding flowers consisted of peonies, roses, daisies and gypsophelia and were put together beautifully by popular local florist Anna’s Flower Barn.
Katie wore a stunning cap sleeved lace wedding dress with a jewelled belt, veil and an antique looking jewelled head band.
Matt looked very smart in a blue three piece suit with a pale pink tie to match the colour scheme.
Katie’s bridesmaids all looked pretty in pale pink dresses.
Here are some of my favourite pictures from their day…
