A Coastal Wedding at Whitsand Bay Fort
Yesterday it was a great pleasure to photograph Meredith and Alex’s wedding at Whitsand Bay Fort in Torpoint, Cornwall.
The couple travelled with friends and family from Texas USA to get married in Cornwall, as Alex’s family were from Devon.
The weather during the bridal preparations couldn’t have been more perfect, so the outdoor ceremony in the venue’s cliff top arbour went ahead as planned. Unfortunately the weather soon changed for the worst, resulting in heavy and persistent downpours and some very soggy wedding guests! In good spirits though, they kept on smiling throughout the ceremony, before then quickly heading inside to the bar for drinks and canapes.
Meredith wore a beautiful vintage looking, sleek, lace wedding dress with a beaded waistband and natural suede sling-back shoes.
She opted for cream and pink roses for her wedding flowers, tied with ribbon and fastened with a pretty blue seashell to represent ‘something blue’.
Meredith’s three bridesmaids all wore different styles of long dresses in chiffon and lace; two in dusky pink and the other in ivory.
They all carried smaller versions of Meredith’s bouquet with pink and cream roses.
Alex looked smart in a brown tweed waistcoat and trousers with a dark coloured tie.
This preview shot was taken just a few miles from Whitsand Bay Fort, at Cawsand Bay.
Congratulations Meredith and Alex!
