A Boutique Winter Wedding in Fowey

On Friday this week I had the pleasure of photographing Nicki and Greg’s boutique winter wedding at The Old Quay House Hotel in Fowey, Cornwall.

The couple travelled with friends and family from Dorset to get married in Cornwall, as Nicki was originally from the county and still had family living there.

Shooting at this pretty Cornish wedding venue was a first for me. Situated on the banks of the Fowey estuary, it proved to be the perfect location for a wedding, as the hotel opened it’s back doors for the ceremony onto the patio area overlooking the water, providing a beautifully peaceful backdrop.

It was a beautifully crisp winter’s day and would have been warm in the sun if it hadn’t have been for a brisk Northerly breeze; despite this, there was still ample opportunity for some wedding photography portraits of the happy couple out on the hotel’s patio area overlooking the Fowey estuary.

Nicki wore a pretty embellished lace wedding dress with a long sleeve netted bolero with lace detailing and glittery heels, which had a satin bow.

She opted for pale lemon roses for her wedding flowers, which were accompanied by stocks, berries and eucalyptus.

Greg looked smart in a deep blue three piece suit with a burgundy patterned tie and leather shoes.

This preview shot was taken on The Old Quay House Hotel’s patio area, overlooking the water.

Congratulations Nicki and Greg!
