A Rustic Wedding at The Green, Cornwall
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Paul’s rustic winter wedding at The Green, which is located at Upton Cross in Cornwall.
Situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, it proved to be the perfect location for their wedding, as the couple are very laid back and wanted an alternative, rustic theme for their special day.
The Green has recently made a new addition to the areas of the venue in which couples can get married. Added only last year the Really Rustic Barn was introduced, which is a beautifully converted cattle barn. Literally a blank canvas, couples are welcomed to style it themselves to fit with their wedding theme.
This is where Sarah and Paul took their vows and it was made all the more special as it was the very first wedding to be held in the Really Rustic Barn.
Although it was a rainy day, there was still ample opportunity for some wedding photography portraits of the bride and groom, as we took shelter in the Really Rustic Barn.
Sarah wore a pretty embellished dress with a sequined bolero and silver sandals.
She opted for a loosely tied bouquet of Protea and Eucalyptus for her wedding flowers.
Paul looked smart in a charcoal grey suit jacket and waistcoat with navy trousers and a purple tie.
These preview shots were taken either just outside or within the Really Rustic Barn. They include a candid portrait of Sarah and Paul sharing a joke during the afternoon and two evening portraits; one of which was taken inside the barn and the other one stood outside in the light rain following the wedding breakfast.
Watch this space for more of this pretty wedding coming soon…
Congratulations Sarah and Paul!
