An elegant, classic country wedding at Trevenna Barns
On Saturday 16th January 2016 Sophia married George at Trevenna Barns in St Neot, which is one of my favourite wedding venues in Cornwall.
Originally from Bristol, the couple dreamed of getting married in Cornwall after George proposed to Sophia on a beach on the north coast of the region.
Their wedding day was a perfectly crisp winter day; beautifully warm in the sun and it didn’t feel like mid January at all!
Sophia was a truly beautiful bride; she wore a long sleeved fishtail wedding dress with suede dusky pink heels by Dune, which matched her colour scheme of muted pastels – a variety of dusky pinks, lilac and cream, giving this stunning winter wedding an elegant, classic feel.
Her incredible wedding flowers were put together by a florist local to Bristol, Tilly Tomblison; everyone commented on how stunning they looked and how wonderful they smelt!
It was an emotional day, with tears from Sophia in the morning when she read George’s wedding card and from George, when he saw his beautiful soon-to-be bride walk down the ‘aisle’.
But there was also plenty of laughter, with one of the greatest best man (or best men in this case) speeches I have ever seen… Scroll down to see some amazing guest reactions to this hilarious speech!
So without further a do, here’s a collection of some of my favourite images from the day and my first wedding of 2016!
