A Wedding at The Vean, Cornwall
Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Sophie and Tom’s pretty country wedding at The Vean, a beautiful and private Georgian House situated within the Caerhays Estate in Gorran, Cornwall.
Their ceremony was held at The Old Coastguard’s Lookout, which is just a short distance from the house and situated on the headland, with breathtaking views across Veryan Bay.
It proved to be a truly unspoiled and unusual location for their small ceremony, where there were only 23 guests in attendance.
Sophie wore a beautiful princess style wedding dress with a jewelled belt and a sweetheart neckline. She finished the look with a matching veil, diamond drop earrings and vintage cream and rose gold heels.
Her wedding flowers consisted of a bouquet of silk peonies in cream with various shades of pink.
Her bridesmaids both carried matching posy bouquets of the same flowers and wore stunning dusky pink embroidered dresses.
Tom looked smart in a navy blue three piece suit with a white shirt, a pale pink tie and brown shoes.
The day was a mixture of sunshine and thundery showers but during the dry spells, we managed to make use of the variety of locations available for their wedding pictures. From a romantic castle backdrop, to the lush green grounds of a Georgian house, to a beach shoot at Porthluney Cove, The Caerhays Estate really does have it all.
Here’s a few favourites from their day…
“Oh Tracey! Thanks so much, they’re all so beautiful! We are both so pleased with the photos and totally overwhelmed by the quality and detail. You have been amazing throughout the whole process and we feel very lucky to have found you. Thanks a million!” – Sophie & Tom.
