A Spring Wedding at The Vean, Cornwall
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Sophie and Tom’s spring wedding at The Vean, a beautiful and private Georgian House situated within the Caerhays Estate in Gorran, Cornwall.
They exchanged vows at The Old Coastguard’s Lookout, which is situated on the headland, overlooking Veryan Bay. It proved to be a truly romantic and unspoiled location for their small ceremony, where there were only 23 guests in attendance.
Sophie wore a beautiful princess style wedding dress with a jewelled belt and a sweetheart neckline. She finished the look with a matching veil, diamond drop earrings and vintage cream and rose gold heels.
She opted for a bouquet of silk peonies in cream with various shades of pink for her wedding flowers.
Her bridesmaids wore stunning dusky pink embroidered dresses and also carried matching posy bouquets of silk peonies.
Tom looked smart in a navy blue three piece suit with a white shirt, a pale pink tie and brown shoes.
This preview shot was taken with Sophie and Tom stood in the lane of The Vean, just as you approach the house. I chose this picture as I loved the way that the lighting from the late afternoon sun bathed them through the trees as they stood in the shaded part of the lane. Doubled up with the leading lines of the fencing and the lane, I thought it made an interesting composition.
Congratulations Sophie and Tom!
