A Wedding in St Ives, Cornwall
Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Billy’s wedding in St Ives, Cornwall.
The couple had travelled from London to Cornwall with their family and friends to get married in this beautiful coastal town.
Sarah was transported to the church with her mother in an immaculate cream VW camper van which belonged to a friend.
The camper was beautifully decorated with ribbons and caused quite a stir among the pedestrians as it drove down the narrow and very busy cobbled streets.
Sarah and Billy took their vows in St Ia, St Ives Parish Church, which is situated almost on the harbourside and has a large garden to the rear which overlooks the harbour and the bay.
Sarah wore a stunning contemporary long sleeved lace wedding dress from Parisian designer Rime-Arodaky with an accompanying veil.
Her wedding flowers consisted of a bouquet of dahlias and jasmine to name just a couple, tied loosely by local organic grower The Garden Gate Flower Company.
Sarah’s two bridesmaids wore floor length flower patterned chiffon wrap dresses and held bouquets of pale pink peonies.
Billy looked smart in a navy blue two piece suit with a navy blue tie and a pair of suede loafers.
His groomsmen all wore matching attire.
Following the ceremony Sarah, Billy and their wedding guests enjoyed drinks and canapes at their reception venue The Brewhouse. The Brewhouse is part of St Ives Brewery and is a stylish and intimate wedding venue with stunning views across St Ives Harbour and the bay.
After their sit down meal, everyone danced the night away to music provided by Bristol based DJ Offbeat Entertainment. The place was certainly rocking!
Here’s some highlights from their day…
