A Scottish Wedding at Pencarrow
Earlier this month I had the pleasure of photographing Jasmine and Joe’s summer wedding at Pencarrow House in Bodmin, Cornwall.
The couple had travelled from London to Cornwall with their family and friends to get married at this beautiful Georgian manor house, which has been owned by the same family for over 500 years.
The couple had planned to take their vows in an outdoor ceremony but due to the weather, it was held in the Music Room instead. Despite the change in plans, the rather regal surroundings did not disappoint…
Jasmine wore a stunning long sleeved lace wedding dress with a veil, jewelled head band and velvet heels.
Her wedding flowers consisted of a bouquet of roses, kniphofia and eucalyptus (to name just a few) which was carefully put together by wedding florist Bleujen.
Jasmine’s three bridesmaids all wore floor length silver grey chiffon wrap dresses and held smaller versions of Jasmine’s bridal bouquet.
Joe looked smart in traditional Scottish Highland dress – a black jacket with matching waistcoat, a shirt with a silver grey bow tie and a kilt with a sporran.
His groomsmen all wore matching attire.
Following the ceremony Jasmine, Joe and their wedding guests enjoyed drinks and canapes in between the showers in front of the house.
We were also lucky to be able to grab a few minutes before the heavy rain set in for a few wedding pictures within the grounds of the beautiful manor house.
Later in the day the wedding party enjoyed a buffet in the marquee, where a selection of platters were presented by wedding caterer Piglet Cottage.
Here’s some of my favourites from their day…
