A Winter Wedding in Fowey
This month I had the pleasure of photographing Nicki and Greg’s beautiful winter wedding at The Old Quay House Hotel in Fowey, Cornwall.
It was my last wedding of 2017 and the weather was just perfect, although a tad nippy!
The couple travelled with their loved ones from Dorset to get married in Cornwall, as Nicki was originally from the county and still had some family members living there.
I hadn’t photographed a wedding at this coastal wedding venue in Cornwall before and was excited to see what it had to offer.
The venue is situated on the banks of the Fowey estuary and it proved to be the perfect location for a wedding, with the hotel opening it’s back doors for the ceremony onto the patio/terrace area overlooking the water, which provided a beautifully peaceful and pretty backdrop.
It was a gorgeously crisp winter’s day and despite the low temperatures, there was still ample opportunity for some wedding photography portraits of the happy couple and their friends and family with the Fowey estuary in the background.
Nicki wore a stunning embellished lace wedding dress from Coastal Bridal with a long sleeve netted bolero with lace detailing and glittery heels, which had a satin bow.
She opted for pale lemon roses for her wedding flowers, which were accompanied by stocks, berries and eucalyptus; all of which were beautifully complied by talented local florist Floral Creations.
Greg looked smart in a deep blue three piece suit with a burgundy patterned tie and leather shoes.
Here is a few of my personal favourites from their day… Congratulations again Nicki and Greg!
